We're Hiring: Public Relations Manager

The Public Relations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of various projects for clients, from planning to execution and final delivery. The PR Manager should be a dynamic individual with a proven track record of articulating strategy, writing and executing public relations plans and managing client expectations. This full-time position requires an average of 40 hours a week (mostly remote work) and reports to the Vice President of Strategy. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Client Operations Manager to build and maintain client relationships, confidently interacting with all levels of leadership internally and externally.

  • Seamlessly manage multiple projects of various scopes with differing and converging timelines.

  • Participate in new client onboarding, capturing clear notes with action items to share with stakeholders and team members.

  • Serve as a knowledgeable, reliable point of contact, including expertise of tools and knowledge of various stakeholders to gather necessary assets or information.

  • Write press releases and other marketing collateral.

  • Have a firm grasp of Associated Press style.

  • Identify and understand challenges or underlying concerns, proactively share ideas, and develop effective, tactful responses or elevate to higher management.

  • Work independently and cooperatively with a positive demeanor and supportive team mindset.

  • Develop and maintain public relations source lists for each client.

  • Build and execute media pitches (including all required assets, such as visuals or graphics) in accordance with the PR plan.

  • Write press releases and associated materials that further client messaging. 


OTHER DUTIES

  • Manage projects within Asana and Slack.

  • Engage with media and influencers independently to build and nurture relationships. 

  • Participate in/and or lead monthly meetings (in person or via Zoom) with each client and RSC team.

  • Contribute details of media placements and PR progress to monthly analytics notes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Advertising/Marketing, Communications or related field.

  • Three-five years experience in public relations. Agency experience preferred.

  • Prior professional writing experience; experience in journalism is preferred.

  • Experience developing and implementing new strategies and programs that successfully achieve business objectives.

  • Organized and skilled in project management. Must balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines.

  • Proven ability to effectively leverage marketing budgets.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Fast, creative thinker/problem solver.

  • Team player.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • The ability to network and create strong interpersonal connections with key industry players is a definite plus.

PAY RANGE
$45,000-$58,000
