New Service: RSC Comms Boot Camp

Everyone’s got a story. What’s yours? No, really — what is your story?

If you’re a business owner and you can’t quickly and succinctly articulate your differentiator, your why — your story — you’re in trouble, and likely not reaching the full potential of your business.

Rachel Sutherland Communications, an award-winning marketing and public relations firm, has launched a new service that can help: RSC Comms Boot Camp, a virtual learning program that will arm business owners with the knowledge they need to succeed in better communicating their brand message and goals.

“Often, we have to pass on jobs because the potential client doesn’t have the budget to pay for a monthly retainer or project fee,” says Rachel Sutherland, founder of the eponymous boutique marketing firm. “That scenario has been magnified by the pandemic and inspired our team to figure out a way to help.”

Not many small businesses have the capital to support hiring staff or retaining a firm to manage public relations and marketing, Sutherland says, but now is the time when they need expert strategy the most: sharing new/adjusted hours of operation, how to communicate about COVID-19 related regulations, or simply reminding customers that they are still here, still open for business.

RSC Comms Boot Camp is a month-long, virtual learning program that wastes no time and is densely packed with information and actionable deliverables tackling topics such as public relations, brand advocacy/ROI, media outreach, and social media management and messaging.

“By maximizing the technology that we’ve all become so accustomed to this past year, we can share our expertise with businesses and nonprofits using online video conferencing as the primary method of engagement,” Sutherland says. “We can onboard, assess, create a plan and share implementation steps without leaving our office.”

“The intersection of technology and consulting means the price of service drops, but not the quality,” she says. “We will coach our Boot Camp clients through the plans we customize to meet their needs, providing the tools they need to execute a social media strategy or a public relations strategy on their own.”

The month-long RSC Comms Boot Camp is ideal for startup, micro and small businesses. The cost is $1,800 and includes a custom hard copy handbook and follow up check-in three months after completion.
