Rule of Three: Podcasts
One is interesting. Two is curious. Three, well, that's a story. Or so goes the rationale in newsrooms. Or the newsrooms I worked in.It's the Rule of Three, meaning you needed a minimum of three of something -- sources, items, examples etc... -- to get your idea or story going. So we're launching our own version of the Rule Of Three, focusing on three things that inspire or motivate us.Up first? Podcasts. Here are three podcasts that are making our commute so educational, we want to keep driving so we can keep listening:#girlboss radio: Hosted by Sophia Amoruso, author and founder of Nasty Gal, its all girl, all the time. Sophia interviews strong, powerful women and discusses their path to success. The Jessica Bennett (“Feminist Fight Club” author) episode is a must-listen.The Glossy Podcast: Short (episodes typically clock in around 30 minutes), packed with information and relatable to all types of business regardless of the tech/fashion focus. Blessedly devoid of upspeak as well. You Must Remember This: I was tipped off to this podcast by my coworker Lauren. She had listened to the episodes about the Manson murders and was riveted. So was I. The podcast is so much more than just a vehicle to fuel my semi-creepy interest in Manson (I read "Helter Skelter" in 8th grade and thoroughly freaked myself out). Focusing on the secret and/or forgotten history of Hollywood's first century, You Must Remember is expertly written and narrated by Karina Longworth. The Joan Crawford episodes fall into the can't-miss category too. What podcasts inspire you?
